Center for Human Development holding Narcan giveaway April 11

LA GRANDE — The Center for Human Development, 2301 Cove Ave., will conduct a drive-thru Narcan giveaway in its parking lot from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.
Free Narcan kits will be given to everyone. The kits contain naloxone, a drug that, if given in time, can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and save a life.
Naxalone counteracts a number of drugs including heroin, fentanyl and prescription opioid medications, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
